Seminar on Combating Online Counterfeiting in Portugal

The International Trademark Association (INTA), in collaboration with INPI, promoted, on December 6, a seminar on Combating Online Counterfeiting in Portugal.
This INTA Policy Dialogue on online counterfeiting took place in the Auditorium of the Conde de Lippe Barracks, at Calçada da Ajuda, nº 134, 1349-053 Lisbon (GNR Barracks).
- How to face the online counterfeiting problem based on international practices?
- How can online platforms and owners of industrial property rights cooperate?
- What anti-counterfeiting mechanisms and policies should online platforms adopt?
These are some of the issues that were debated during the session that was moderated by Ana de Sampaio, from J.E. Dias Costa, AOPI and member of the INTA Anti-Counterfeiting Committee.
The seminar included speakers from some online commerce platforms, such as OLX Group, eBay and Amazon, members of the Anti-Counterfeiting Group, such as INPI and the National Republican Guard, and React, as well as trademark holders.
